IVY Entertainment - Sundance Mixer and Panel
PARK CITY, UTAH - IVY filmmakers with Sundance films shared stories of making their films and their road to Sundance at our first-ever IVY Entertainment Panel at Flanagan's (aka the Guinness House) on Main St. in Park City Utah.

Filmmakers said it's important to make films that follow your passion and express your voice.  Also: it helps to be a part of the indie film scene. And remember: make films not to get into Sundance, but to tell a good story and ultimately, effect social change.

More than 200 attendees networked at our post-panel mixer, including: award-winning Sundance producers, directors and filmmakers who spoke on the pre-panel, student crews including Harvard Business School and Carnegie Mellon, as well as alums from Yale, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, etc. as well as attendees from Fox, CBS, SAG New Media, content creators, advertisers, indie film social media gurus, and more. PICS.

Thanks to our panelists on the IVY Entertainment panel:

- Lisa Cortes, (Yale) executive producer of Oscar-winning Precious (Sundance 2009) and co-producer of the Woodsman (Sundance 2004 Grand Jury Prize winner)

- Ryan Slattery (Harvard), Producer on this year's Playtime

- Chip Hourihan (Yale), producer of Frozen River (Sundance 2009 Grand Jury Winner), and more than a dozen other films

- T. Woody Richmond (Dartmouth), editor on this year's How to Survive a Plague documentary

- Jonathan Zalben, (Yale) music on three of this year's Sundance 2012 films: West of Memphis, Associate Music Supervisor; California Solo, additional music editor; The Pact, violin, score consultant

Thanks also to party co-hosts Yale in Hollywood, Digital LA and engage:BDR
